Whether your vegetarian or not, there will be something to cook for everyone. On this course, you will learn and have time to practise your skills at cooking with an open fire.

Being a camp cook has many advantages. After learning these skills you will become a popular member of any outdoor group.

You will learn traditional recipes to cook wild foods.

This is a two day course starting at 10am on Saturday and finishing at 5pm on Sunday.

Course content
• Food hygiene
• Setting up an expedition camp
• Seasonal wildfoods
• Poisonous plant identification
• Wild breads
• Trail foods
• Fish and game preparation
• Seeing food as a fuel: working with carbohydrates, proteins
   and fats
• Working outdoors and recognising symptoms of
   Hypoglycemia with colleagues
• Morale booster recipes
• Boiling, roasting and frying
• What woods burn best for cooking
• Campfire management
• Leave no trace

All food is supplied.

Maximum: 12 people
Location: Hampshire
Dates: Regular courses through EVERY season for 1-1 tuition, small groups or for your organised class.
